About Edward G. Loniewski, DO, FACOS, FAOAO
He is a hometown boy born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. He attended Detroit Catholic Central High School as well as Michigan State University where he graduated from the college of osteopathic medicine. He completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction and arthritis at the University of Chicago and started his practice in Howell, Michigan in 1995. He is one of a handful of physicians in the country awarded dual fellowships in the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics ( AOAO) and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons ( ACOS). He has won numerous research awards including the Andrew Taylor Still and the Burroughs Wellcome awards. He has been a consultant for many orthopedic and regenerative medicine companies such as Biomet/Zimmer, Eli Lilly, Celling Biosciences and AVM Biotechnology. He has been featured on local and nationally broadcasted programs such as WXYZ News and The Hook’N’Look show on the Outdoor Channel. He has been the former president of the Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and resides in Brighton with his four children. He is active in his local Catholic Church and participates frequently in charity events.
